
Marie-Noëlle Daigneault was born and raised in Montreal, Canada, where she received her BFA from Concordia University. After achieving her MFA in scenic and costume design at Maryland University, she became enchanted by the metro area theatre scene and began working in the DC area as a freelance designer. Her numerous local credits include the set and costume design for The K of D by Laura Schellhardt (Woolly Mammoth Theatre; John Vreeke), the set design for The Physicists (Maryland University; Jeremy Skidmore), the set design for The Distance from Here by Neil Lebute (Maryland University/Woolly Mammoth; Mitchell Hebert), Machinal by Sophie Treadwell (Maryland University; Jerry Whiddon), The Crucible by Arthur Miller (Maryland University; erry Whiddon), and the traveling set for Othello and The Importantance of Being Earnest (National Players).
Her costume design credits include The K of D, Machinal, Self Accusation by Peter Handke (Concordia University, Montreal; directed by Patricia Lamontagne) and Ives for You: Three Short Plays by David Ives by David Ives (Concordia University, Montreal; directed by Ralp Allison).
She has assisted scenic designs by Helen Hayes Award-nominated designer Daniel Conway for the Folger Shakespeare Library Theatre production of Measure for Measure (Director: Aaron Posner) and for the Round House Theatre production of Once on this Island by Lynn Ahrens (Director: Scot Reese). She also assisted costume designer Maryse Bienvenue on her Infinitheatre production of Long, Long, Short, Long by Trevor Ferguson (Director: Guy Sprung).
